The dashboard goes amber.
You open Yolog and your annual countdown has tipped from green to amber. The annunciator is laid out like a panel — green/amber/red, no buried menus. Nothing else changes; you just know.
Tap "Request entry."
Pick the entry type (annual is pre-suggested), add a note for the IA — "first flight will be Memorial Day weekend, please prioritize" — and pick your shop. Yolog auto-fills aircraft data, regulation cite, last tach, applicable ADs.
Your IA gets one SMS.
A signing link, scoped to this aircraft and this entry type. Opens in any browser — no app, no account. The IA writes the entry, enters their cert number, signs. Yolog validates the certificate against the FAA Airmen Registry in real time.
Entry is hashed, chained, locked.
The IA's signature binds three things: the entry text, a precise timestamp, and a verified cert number. The result hashes against the prior entry's hash. From this point forward, no edits are possible — only correction entries, which themselves chain forward.
You get a notification. The dashboard goes green.
Push, email, or both — your choice. The annual countdown resets. The new entry is downloadable as PDF in proper logbook format. The buyer's verification page (if you ever sell the aircraft) updates instantly.

Each entry binds its content, its timestamp, and the mechanic's verified certificate into a single SHA-256 hash. That hash is mixed into the next entry's hash — break one, you break them all.
