For A&P / IA mechanics

No accounts. No subscriptions. No app to install.

Yolog is owner-paid. Mechanics get a one-time link, sign one entry, and walk away. We will never charge you, ask for your billing info, or send you marketing email.

"If owners want to bring me a Yolog link, fine — I'll sign it on their iPad. Beats handing back a stained logbook with my carbon-paper smudges. The reg-friendly entry templates are the right ones, too."

Why we built it this way

Three commitments to the people turning the wrenches.

01

You'll never pay us a dime.

Yolog is paid by aircraft owners. You won't get a license fee, a "pro tier" upsell, or a billing email. Sign the entry, you're done.

02

You don't sign up.

No account creation, no password, no MFA flow. The link the owner sends you is scoped to one entry on one aircraft. Click, sign, leave.

03

You keep your wet-ink workflow.

Yolog is in addition to the paper logbook, not instead of it. Sign the book the way you always have — Yolog captures a permanent digital twin alongside.

What signing actually looks like

Six taps, ninety seconds, no shop disruption.

If you've ever had an owner stand over your shoulder waiting for an entry, you know the drill. This is faster.

Common questions from shops

Frequently asked.

Is a Yolog entry "the" logbook entry, or is it in addition to my paper one?
In addition. The paper logbook remains the legal primary record. Yolog captures a digital twin — same text, same date, same cert number, but cryptographically locked and stored in the cloud. Owners use Yolog to back up the paper book and to track compliance, not to replace your wet-ink signature.
Does this satisfy 14 CFR § 43.9 / § 43.11?
The owner's paper book entry satisfies the regs. Yolog's job is to make sure that entry doesn't get lost, illegible, or fabricated. Our entry templates are written to match the language the FSDO expects, which makes your job in the paper book easier too.
What happens if I make a mistake on the digital entry?
Same as paper: a forward-correction entry. You sign a new entry that references the original by ID and corrects it. The original is preserved exactly — that's the whole point of a hash-chained record. We give you 48 hours from the original sign time to file a correction without escalation; after that, owners have to request the correction explicitly.
My cert number is sitting on a server somewhere now?
Your cert number, name, and signature image are stored encrypted at rest, alongside the entry. We use them only to validate the signature against the FAA Airmen Registry at sign time and to display them on the entry for buyers and the FSDO. We don't share them, sell them, or use them for anything else. See the security page for details.
What if the owner cancels Yolog — can I still see entries I signed?
Yes. Every mechanic gets a permanent passwordless retrieval link by email at sign time. You can re-pull any entry you've ever signed, regardless of the owner's account status, for as long as Yolog exists.
I work for a shop. Can the shop manage links across mechanics?
Not yet. Right now Yolog is single-mechanic-per-entry by design. We are talking to a few maintenance shops about a shop-side console; if that's you, drop us a line at hello@yolog.aero.

Got a Yolog link from an owner?

You're in the right place. Open it on any phone, tablet, or laptop — there's nothing to install.
